These “do unto others” vibes.. Scary trees, innocent hedges, impotent fences, petty disputes and some pretty paranoid quarrels. If a poll were held, though.. 🪶 How many of us would choose a f* fence over a hedge?
🐦 Offered a choice, I'm pretty sure the birds' preference would be unanimous. 🐦⬛ If the cats 🐈⬛ were asked.. 🐈 too, of course. The toads? 🐸 The ducks? 🦆 Do I need to keep adding text & emoji here? I like to think probably every living think would prefer green leaves 🍃 over green.. f* metal wire.
But not so, not thinking, just barely living then, did this peculiar specimen of Homo O. rosmarus choose sad concrete and cold metal over leaves that be chilling and photosynthesising while leafing, at no cost for all of us creatures chilling only by the grace of their leafing, rarely trying our clumsy best at leafing too.. May God rest the grim, confused soul, indeed, as its dwindling spirit, a nasty toxic trace miasma, hovers over the waters, still.
Of course no one asked the hedge if it didn't feel oppressed, or intimidated by the cold, relentless push of geometric steel, erected on land 'been petulant- and illegally raised.. I apologised to it profusely as I disfigured it, though later another neighbour suggested perhaps a hedge appreciates a trimming once/while, just like we do. 🤔
