Peak Jean-Pierre Jeunet, I'd say. Or at least to me it is. Quite a feat, then, considering his earlier work with Marc Caro (Delicatessen mcmxci, say, or La cité des enfants perdus mcmxcv).
Yet another still soo stubby page.
Also what with the TV cereals. 🤔 Somewhy I don't feel they need a separate page on this site, therefore I'll include them here! I.e. right there, down some on this page somewhere, somewhen..

thanks for asking. Onward for a smile! *cough*
Ah, that brief moment in time where Jews were a legit reason for many a smilings!
A cat, capybara, and many other animals, animated with love, in Europe, together on a dangerous journey, surely will take most kids' breath away..

This movie depicts people, close to one another in many different ways, and looking up
in as many different ways. “Looking up”, of course, in the sense of ten years later's
🙄 Don't Look Up mmxxi 🇺🇸,
because the looking up is upon heavenly bodies on an apocalyptic collision course with
ours. We are no aren't ain't no dinosaurs, 'course, are we.
Swedish highly calculated and highly stylized
faux-absurdism of the highest order?
Hur det än må vara, det vill säga oavsett, eller i alla fall – för oss var filmen..
på en gång rörande, imponerande, förbryllande, och upplyftande. Och..
Well, to us, Westerners, Auschwitz may be the pinnacle of Holocaust, but it was preceded by, in the East, this Holocaust by bullets. The depths of inhumanity had many ways of showing (let's not remember those 🇯🇵 Japanese), and in, say, 🇧🇾 Belarus, the cruelty of bullets and fire came well before any gas. Come and See.
This Tarkovsky the Younger made quite some seminal movies — I would without hesitation have Солярис mcmlxxii ❲*❳ take 2nd place — exploring, quoth Wikipedia, “spiritual and metaphysical themes”, and known for their “slow pacing and long takes, dreamlike visual imagery and preoccupation with nature and memory”.
Once again much thanks, WP, for.. taking some words right out of my mouth, like. How
often does language fall grossly short, inadequate as.. ehh —
.. громко! и чётко!
Я МОГУ ГОВОРИТЬ..
❲*❳ The 1961/320 sci-fi novel Solaris by Stanisław Lem also brought us Steven Soderbergh's rendition of it: Solaris mmii, with.. some would say overmuch artistic license and George Clooney. George.. who now? Ah, yes, that swoonsome guy from the coffee commercials! 😒🤷
All of them.. American? 🇺🇸😒
Like what? Trying to somewhat indicate vibes by way of tags is much harder for movies
and TV series than it is for music. Because Firefly.. off the
top of me head would have to do with, say, space,western,sci-fi,comedy?
Who'd want to watch just about anything matching all of those at once? The scope of the
tags renders them useless. Emotional,striking-dumb?
In this case the series were cut short. One of the first of many such deplorable cases where there was.. magic, but no money?
Like wow, Cleon. Diving into something unprepared, i.e. without knowing much of its origin, nature, backdrop universe, any and all kind of context, stopping just short of spoilers to rely on is a way I dread and avoid. My feeble brain just can't commit itself (anymore, as it could when it was younger) to something without having read up some on what's in store. In this case, the 🤖 robots not Kraftwerk-like, but Asimov style..
And once again the weary words' way ('cause whatever would a Prime
Radiant be like) lead to a premature or overconfident decision to start typin'.
Lately (right now, for scale, is Friday August 7th AD MMXXVI) I've come to
read them in the Texan cadence of Hank
Hill, as in King of the Hill
mcmxcvii. Constantly somewhat vexed or indignant or sum', but
laid-backly sum' so, which oddly helps a lot, mayn, I'll tell you
h'what..
Maybe.. It may well have aged quite badly, much like, but impossibly as badly so as, say, done did 🥁 The Cosby Show MCMLXXXIV•MCMXCII. 😏 No time, nor desire to find out how badly, then, though. Too risky and lengthy an endeavour, nothing to gain from, and in any case Six Feet Under did establish something of a kind, trailblaze an experience, its Pavlovian promising HBO intro sound much like that of a computer starting up, I do feel, in a way that doesn't matter. (: And Dexter Morgan of course went on to explore new horizons.
Like wow, once more.. 🙌 “Worldbuilding” is a hefty notion, but not just to me it was what made The Expanse captivating from the very start. The novels it is based on probably deserve lots of credit, all the same their realisation in moving pictures was quite something.
The crew of the Rocinante fit together much like Firefly's. Unlike Firefly, The Expanse was saved from abrupt untimely cancellation - by Amazon, even, if I recall.. F* Bezos' shenanigans and ridiculous richness arguably brought the world something far more valuable and memorable than spaceKaren's real-life rockets. 🤷
BELTALOWD'ehh.. Camina Drummer! anyone?
Caa'wl! Caa'wl..
In earnest, while its genre tends to put off many, most often including myself,
for some reason I was quite hooked by The Walking Dead. Really
not quite sure how so. I never read the comic boo graphic novels it is
based on, perhaps they shone already. All the same the acting somehow.. Hmh, it
often felt like the entire cast/crew truly casually enjoyed themselves while
making the series. But then that goes for many shitty series, too.. The
vibes to me were as if they, themselves, embarked on an journey of lengths greatly
unexpected.
Eh, no matter, a rare case of zombie movie films I very much enjoyed for whatever it was worth, in spite even of, or then rather in part thanks to its large number of seasons and offspring. In my opinion it took a bit of a dive here and there, yet time and again reinv.. found itself anew, like. Rather unusual! for TV series, so often stubbornly devolving into pitiful echoes of their more glorious former selves.. Ehh, no matter!
The owls? 🦉 It is happening 🙌 again..
Or, FIRE! Wwwalk. with. me..
Hm. But did not reality trump fiction. 🥸
🙌 Cosmos.
mcmlxxx Some next time I come across this page, I
shall go find and c/p hither those perhaps merely
outwardly untypically bleak words of his about the future, or
was it the unitedly stated American future, as he envisioned it, and
which, at any rate, we are living, indeed.
Praise be some Lord in Their heaven the lump of stardust formerly known as Carl Sagan didn't even drift into this, our 21st century, to behold what was foretold, in part even by himself. He didn't even get to see 9/11! 😶 And would have lived to be.. 92 by now, if my weary, feeble brain has its Roman and other kinds of numerals straight. Would he have preferred to be a witness of the end, or rather be content to have left the ship of fools before it sank, blobb'ring out its last miserable *blobb* of wasted oxygen..
